As the literature related to block chain technology is under development, one item of consensus in this field is the total transparency of information and as a result distributing data among members uniformly in block-based networks. The purpose of the block based networks is to achieve management and decision making distributed models that achieving it requires the same access for all network members to network information. For example, the information of all the transactions of the members of Bit coin network is provided for all members generally. The challenge that will be made because of this kind of design of a distribution system is the violation of privacy of individuals. Naturally none of the Bit coin network members is not interested to make his transaction information available for public. The solution of bit coin design for this solution is to maintain the identity of network members by assigning unique addresses per transaction that causes network transactions to be written virtually anonymously on the network. In fact, in this network, the members can use a new address for each new transaction that making it does not require the involvement of prior credits. In such situation, the relation between different transactions in different addresses to an identity will not be easy. Although this idea was successful practically but it also has two flaws. The first flaw in this idea is that although the presence of distinct and seemingly unrelated addresses makes this hard to extract the transaction patterns of each person but this information is still vulnerable to graph and data analysis techniques and it will expose some of the users’ behavioral patterns. The second flaw in this idea is the hardness of coin each user can addresses for transportation as much as he wants, and applying regulatory and monitoring network transactions. Considering that they generate transferring fund in the Bit network and the identity of people will be concealed behind the network addresses, it’s not possible practically to monitor the network transactions. This attribute has caused that the crypto currencies that use this idea to protect the privacy of their users, be vulnerable to phenomena such as money laundering.
So, such an idea is not general and in some cases that requires the identity of individuals to be transparent, it can’t be implemented. In these cases it is necessary to apply more general algorithms for solving the privacy challenge in these kinds of networks. So protecting the privacy of network nodes is one of the most important challenges in the field of block chain technology that can hinder the effectiveness of these designs in large scale.
